Horrifying dream last night. Linda Hartmann was in it, (an RVing/work/retirement connection?) We were trying to get away from these monster assassins, just barely escaping from the place where they had us cornered, and out into the night. Running, running!
I was wearing shorts and a white tee shirt, and paused on my way out the door to grab my Park East High School hoodie, because it's navy blue and would hide me/shield me better from the monsters in the dark night.
Perhaps I’m actually apprehensive about my impending retirement? I definitely need to stop watching these loud, action genre television shows before bed!
Mornings
Most mornings when I wake up, I putter around in my kitchen, making my tea and breakfast. I imagine myself doing the same tasks this time next year, watching the sun come up over something beautiful, instead of over NYC bricks. I imagine listening to unfamiliar bird songs. Smelling some wonderful version of Mother Nature: wood smoke, piney forest, West Coast morning fog off the Pacific...
Six more months.
