Sculpture Garden at Purchase, New York

and Garden. Corporate America at its best.

On the 5th of July I went with friend Diana up to the PepsiCo Corporate park, and we walked and talked our way through a few miles of gardens looking at trees and plants, and sculptures large and larger.  Originally, Diana wanted to bring along a picnic lunch, but with the temperatures in the 90's and the rules posted on Pepsi's website prohibiting picnics, we decided to walk first, then go off and forage for a lunch somewhere that was air conditioned. Turned out to be a good plan B for the day.

I was loving the flowers and lotus plants. It is really difficult to catch a photo of dragon/damsel flies zipping around. Photo below shows that I did catch a couple.

And I think of these as junkyard Caryatids. I loved the steel wool hair. Diana was amused by their belly buttons.

For lunch we drove a couple miles away to Port Chester and had some great food at a place on the water called Bartaco. All in all, it was a lovely day.
